This module takes an interdisciplinary approach to the management of natural resources in developing countries. It is divided into three main parts: a) theories and approaches to development and development interventions, b) approaches to understanding the particular challenges of natural resource management in developing countries, c) practical examples from different regions in the world of how interventions aim to solve environmental as well as social and economic challenges. Throughout the module, students will work on an individual concept or project that is presented at the end of module conference.
