This module takes place as a block course in calendar weeks 24–25 (7 days).
Agriculture provides food, feed, fuel, fibres, flowers and fun, through recreational areas (the six «Fs»). Drastic changes in the agroecosystem and beyond will be needed to feed a growing population and save our planet. Traditional as well as new farming systems and technologies will be deployed in coming decades to meet future demand. This module will provide a close look at how factors that drive agricultural practices, and developments in society, culture and technology are interconnected. Students will develop their own scenario for future agriculture.
